Description:
Crystal Dyamodes are born from crystals, and their horn is always the color of the crystal they are born from. They also draw their power and strength from their birth crystals.
To tame a CD one must either raise them from the moment of their birth or catch and earn their trust at an elder age.
When a mother CD gives birth she lays several crystals, of which, several weeks later, a baby emerges.
CD's can live to be over 500 years old, and mature quickly so to keep out of harm. A CD can reach their full height at 5 years old, but are not of breeding age until at least 68 years old. Males mature quicker than females and can reach breeding age around 45 years old.
Male CD's also have brighter war markings, while females are dimmer. The reason for this is because the female picks the male. An owner cannot force two CD's to breed, they can only put them together and hope the female accepts the male; they mate for life. A pairing will not always guarantee a litter. When a litter is conceived, there can be between 1 and 10 born.
Finally, CD's are nocturnal, and will become blind if forced out into the light.
